Worship

Worship at Redeemer is an hour of celebration and reflection in the midst of a hectic week. The hour of worship includes both prayer and the sounds of music and words, including Scripture and Liturgy. Sermons proclaim the Good News of the Gospel and apply the timeless messages of Scripture to twenty-first century life.

The choir sings at most services; anthems come from a variety of traditions, ranging from traditional sacred music, to gospel hymns and contemporary music. On special occasions, our brass ensemble also enhances our worship experience.

Holy Communion is celebrated during worship each month – and particularly on Festival Sundays and on Maundy Thursday during Holy Week. Communion is open. All Christians are invited to participate.

A uniquely Moravian celebration, the Lovefeast, is also part of our service several times during the year (e.g., celebrating the church’s anniversary, during our Christmas Eve Candle Service, etc.) It is a simple meal shared in the context of worship.
